Lightning Shots - Charlie's Photos

Looking south over Oakville and towards Lake Ontario I have a nice vantage spot to shoot electical storms from the balcony of my 12th floor apartment.

Charlie > cropped version of previous photo... note the rain drops frozen in mid air by the bright light of the lightning flash. Since we see the drops with no motion blur we know the lightning bolt was very short lived.

Charlie > God promised that He would not destroy the world by 'water' again.
the perspective of this apartment building opposite me works well to point the eye into the center of the frame.. Neat eh, how the arc of the bow stretches from one building to the other seemingly covering the town of Oakville?
This was shot just as dusk was settling in.
